POSITION DESCRIPTION –
QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER
Lean Six Sigma practitioner across an organization that is a dedicated hands-on Quality Assurance Manager required to lead the Quality Management Systems program for diversified Dutchess County contract manufacturer. Mature product turnkey contractor encompassing the following manufacturing disciplines: metal fabrication, CNC machining and turning, electronic assembly (SMT/THT), electro-mechanical assembly, and final product functional test & packaging.
Details:
• Manage the Quality Department
• Act as final authority and management representative for all Quality-related projects/issues.
• ISO 9001:2008/AS 9003:2001 representative for management.
• Interface with external parties on Quality issues.
• Conduct weekly Quality meetings, monitoring continuous improvement initiatives.
• Review and evaluate customer service issues/complaints.
• Monitor Quality system to ensure conformance with Quality Manual.
• Schedule and facilitate internal Quality audits.
• Review all customer documentation and approve manufacturing process documentation representing all engineering inputs/changes.
• Interface between manufacturing, customer engineering and source quality assurance.
• Maintain records of inspection and product acceptability
• Work with manufacturing to determine corrective actions and assist in process improvement identification.
• Issue corrective/preventative action documentation; follow through with issue disposition. • Promote awareness of and adherence to good standard work practices, ESD protection and company policies and guidelines.
• Interface with suppliers in Quality issue resolution; ensure all documentation of issues with respective dispositions.
• Manage and facilitate RMA process with appropriate and timely resolutions.
• Ensure all training provided adheres to Quality standards.
• Interpret standards; evaluate specs and drawings for adherence to standard and provide technical assistance when required.
• Manage MRB processes and issue(s) disposition.
• Qualify and monitor vendor activity.
• Perform receiving inspection for all incoming materials.
• Perform In-process and Final inspections.
• Research, attain and maintain ongoing Quality certifications Bachelor of Engineering, and/or four (4) years experience in Quality Management is preferred.
