About the Job
3 Must Haves:Position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality assurance, or industrial systems engineering or a related field and 3 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.
Experience participating in and supporting quality assessments, surveillances, audits and/or Non-Conformance disposition and closure.
Must be able to pass a background, drug screen and have a clean DMV and have the ability to be obtain Q clearance
Responsibilities:Review and prepare procurement documentation germane to quality assurance, quality engineering, and quality control requirements.
Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of processes, procedures, and applications contributing to the overall objective of sustaining an effective engineering, procurement, and program Quality Management System.
Perform onsite NCR investigations and verifications.
Coordinate and/or conduct audits and surveillances of quality-affecting engineering, procurement, construction, and ancillary project work.
Requirements:
Quality Engineer 2Position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality assurance, or industrial systems engineering or a related field and 3 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.
Knowledge and application of nuclear codes and standards. For example: 10 CFR 830 Subpart A, DOE Order 414.1D, national consensus standard ASME NQA-1—2008/ASME NQA-1a-2009 Addenda to ASME NQA-1 – 2008, ISO 9001, and U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Regulatory Guide Series or equivalent.
Knowledge of the application of ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code for the procurement, fabrication, inspection, testing and In-Service inspection & evaluation of Pressure Vessels and Piping.
Experience participating in and supporting quality assessments, surveillances, audits and/or Non-Conformance disposition and closure.
Ability to understand and interpret various physical, mechanical, and electrical documents, blueprints, drawings, specifications, and schematics.
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel across multiple organizations to solve complex problems.
Sufficient application experience to comprehend specified requirements in disciplines that include welding, nondestructive testing, geometric dimensioning, and tolerance.
Knowledge of engineering, procurement, and construction practices sufficient to comprehend specified requirements in disciplines that include Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) and application of the graded approach in an NQA-1 environment.
Three years of experience as a Certified Welding Inspector - American Welding Society (AWS-CWI)
Current certification or previous certifications in three or more of the following NDE Level II Inspection (RT, UT, MT, PT, VT), Piping or Pressure Vessel Inspection, Mechanical Inspections.
Currently have or can obtain a Q level Clearance.
