Quality Assurance Supervisor
$24.00 - $28.00 p/hour

The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for tasks that are to be completed daily, weekly, monthly and annually. This position is for our new Ready to Eat product line.
Responsibilities for this job are to ensure the food safety of the product, this includes looking and addressing direct food/food contact surface contamination. Employee practices that put product at risk. Employee must be knowledgeable and familiar with documentation, procedures and records. When completing a task, to follow Quality SOPs. Must be able to communicate well, follow directions, identify and correct problems, collect and review data and be self-motivating.
EXAMPLES OF RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Assist Quality Manager
- Maintaining, verify, review, monitoring laboratory practices, training, calibration of equipment and records
- Maintain SQF systems and food safety HACCP systems
- Prep, assist and conduct second and third party audits
- Complete customer questionnaires
- Monitoring and enforcing Good Manufacturing Practices
- Reviewing, updating and monitoring written Standard Operating Procedures and SQF Procedures, HACCP programs and supporting documentation
- Work at the offsite laboratory when needed and on a weekend/holiday rotation
- Promote food safety and adhere to USDA and company regulations
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Employee is required to be an active team member. The employee is frequently required to stand, sit and handle material. Employee will be required to use a computer, use hands and arms, climb/balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to lift 30-50 pounds occasionally.
Employee will work in an environment ranging from -20 to +100 degrees F. The work environment can be in wet and dry environments. Work includes office work, plant floor work and laboratory work environments. This position spends approximately 45% time in office, 40% on the plant floor and 15% at laboratory.
