Position Status: Non-Exempt
Position Summary: Inspect, test, analyze materials, parts and products for defects and deviations from specifications. Understand 7 tools of quality and utilize effectively. Compare products with parts list or samples to ensure completion of assembly.

Position Summary: Inspect, test, analyze materials, parts and products for defects and deviations from specifications. Understand 7 tools of quality and utilize effectively. Compare products with parts list or samples to ensure completion of assembly.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Abides OSHA and PMI Kyoto rules and regulations for safety.
- Work well under pressure.
- Monitor operations to ensure that they meet the production standards.
- Able to perform and record FAI data on all production and outsourced parts.
- Verify specified dimensions and measurements to internal and outsourced parts per engineering drawing.
- Examine machined or raw material parts for defects and other features to ensure quality.
- Ability to approve or reject material based of quality standards.
- Able to use Microsoft word and Excel spread to submit reports to the Quality Supervisor.
- Record all quality data on Excel spread including NCM reports.
Physical Demands
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move.
- Must be able to squat and bend frequently.
- Must be able to work overtime when needed.
- Able to work which includes walking and standing in 8hr workday.
- Knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies
- Able to read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances,
- Understanding of GD&T on drawings
- Minimum 2yrs in quality control or similar role inspecting material.
- Strong attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
- Ability to use different measuring tools (caliper, micrometer, height gauge, pin and thread gauges) CMM experience required.
- Familiar with inspecting Mig and Tig welded parts is a plus.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel & Microsoft word)
- Metrology measurement skills
- Able to communicate well with other team members.
- Ability to read various engineer drawings.
- Familiar inspecting parts produced in a metal fabrication environment which includes waterjet, lathe, cnc, formed, saw, and welded parts. And different metals including Stainless steel HR or CRS and Aluminum
