Quality Assurance Technician
Silgan Dispensing is looking to add an experienced Quality Assurance Technician to our plastic injection molding team. The shift hours are 7:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., 3 days one week and 4 days the next week, (84 hours in a two-week period, with 4 hours of overtime per pay) in Macedonia, OH. Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform inspection activities including:
- Receiving Inspection
- 1st article inspection
- In-process Inspections
- Document inspection results into ERP system
- Perform measurements through use of various measurement devices
- Perform internal audits and/or 6S audits
- Control & isolate nonconforming product
- Participate in Material Review Board (MRB)
- Create Quality Alerts as needed
- Participate in Supplier and Internal Corrective Actions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Ability to work 3rd shift; and other shifts if needed
- High School Diploma or GED; Associate's degree not required but a plus
- 1 to 3 years of injection molding experience
- Ability to evaluate color visually and with measurement devices
- Ability to read basic blue prints
- Ability to use basic measurement equipment, including calipers, micrometers, etc.
- Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment
- CMM/VMM Experience a plus but not required
- ERP system experience a plus but not required
- Experience with Lean a plus but not required
