Job Title: Quality & Compliance Manager Location: Plainview, NYZip Code: 11803Start Date: Right Away Job Type: Direct Hire Pay Rate: Up to $120k/annually Schedule: Fully Onsite Keywords: #ManagementJobs #Engineeringjobs #AerospaceDefenseIndustry JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:* Lead the AS9100 certification project from initiation through to successful completion, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation. * Develop a comprehensive project plan with clear milestones, deliverables, and timelines. * Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors to ensure the timely execution of the project. * Develop, document, and implement the QMS in alignment with AS9100 standards. * Identify gaps in current processes and recommend improvements to meet AS9100 requirements. * Ensure that all QMS documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant stakeholders. * Provide training and support to employees on AS9100 requirements and the importance of quality standards. * Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the organization. * Lead internal audits to assess compliance with AS9100 standards. * Prepare for and manage external audits conducted by certification bodies. * Address non-conformities and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance. * Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and systems to enhance quality and efficiency. * Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to implement best practices and drive quality improvements. * Provide regular updates to senior management on the status of the AS9100 certification project. * Prepare and present reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and certification progress. * Communicate with customers and government quality representatives (FAA & DCMA) on quality issues. * Form positive/productive customer/FAA/DCMA relationships based on data and continual improvement.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:* Must be a US Citizen or a Permanent Resident * Bachelor"s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. * 8 years of Quality experience in a manufacturing Aerospace Quality environment, with a minimum of 2 years in leadership roles. * Aerospace/Aviation background * Risk Management Experience * Management Experience * AS9100 Experience* Full knowledge of the regulatory environment Ontic operates in i.e., CFR 145, AS9100/AS9110, FAR & DFARS, as well as customer and other government requirements. * Proficient in quality management systems and tools such as FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, and corrective/preventive actionsIf you are interested in this role, please apply via the apply now link provided.
