Quality Control Inspector
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular quality control walks across construction sites, inspecting all paint and drywall applications for adherence to project specifications and standards.
- Verify that drywall installations meet required thickness, alignment, and finish levels, ensuring joints, corners, and seams are seamless and smooth.
- Evaluate paint applications, checking for uniformity, texture, coverage, and color accuracy, identifying any blemishes, inconsistencies, or imperfections.
- Document inspection results, including any non-compliance or deficiencies, and coordinate with site supervisors and subcontractors to facilitate corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure timely resolution of quality issues and compliance with Hillpointe's quality guidelines.
- Ensure all quality control processes align with safety and regulatory standards.
- Provide feedback to the construction team on best practices to prevent recurring quality issues.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, including photographic documentation and inspection logs, for future reference and quality assurance.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a quality control role within the construction industry, with specific experience in drywall and paint.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of drywall installation and paint application techniques, including industry standards and best practices.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to identify minute flaws and discrepancies in paint and drywall finishes.
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to document findings and coordinate corrective actions with team members.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying and resolving quality issues in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Travel: Traveling to various construction sites required
- Certifications: Quality control certifications are a plus but not required.
