Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a Quality Control Technician job in Georgia, VT. Work schedule will be Friday – Sunday, 6am – 6:30pm (36hrs, paid for 40)
Summary of Responsibilities:
Under the responsibility of the QC Supervisor, the QC Technician is responsible for the control of raw materials and packaging materials, analyzing of semi -finished and finished products. The technician has the responsibility to report any abnormalities detected.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour

Under the responsibility of the QC Supervisor, the QC Technician is responsible for the control of raw materials and packaging materials, analyzing of semi -finished and finished products. The technician has the responsibility to report any abnormalities detected.
List of Responsibilities for Quality Control Technician:
Raw material and packaging material
- Sample the raw material at each reception
- Perform sensory and physio-chemical analyzes on raw materials and ensure that they meet specifications
- Document the raw material files with the necessary technical documents
- Enter the results of analysis and information obtained in the laboratory data base
- Execute transactions in the inventory management system (sage x3) with rigor and precision
- Ensure obtaining certificates of analysis and other technical documents for each raw material
- Manage the retention samples of raw materials
- Evaluate packaging materials and make sure they meet specifications.
- Perform sensory and physio-chemical analyzes on products being processed and finished products and ensure that they meet specifications
- Enter the results of analysis and information in the laboratory database
- Conduct quality audits on packaging lines and ensure that quality audits are carried out and complied with and that the finished product meets the specifications
- Perform ATP swab tests, sampling of allergens and microbiological sampling on equipment and its environment
- Ensure proper management of the semi-finished and finished products retention samples
- Actively participate and follow closely when launching new products or when modifying existing products
- Evaluate the finished products assembled by co-manufacturing on the sensory and the physio-chemical levels and ensure that they meet Bariatrix specifications
- Prepare samples and document all requests for microbiological analyses at external laboratories
- Prepare laboratory mixtures of receipts (basic) for sensory evaluation
- Conduct pre-operational tours.
- Report all quality related non-conformities in regards to raw materials, semi-finished products and finished packaging products to the QC coordinator and Production Supervisor
- Document Quality recalls and BNC (Report of Non-Compliance) and communicate this information. Actively participate in investigations and in the implementation and monitoring of the corrective plan.
- Perform tasks with rigor, checking surveillance measures or measures related to HACCP or other Quality Systems.
- Minimum Associates degree Food / Food Science / Microbiology or a related field
- Have 1 – 3 years of experience in the food industry and similar functions
- Good knowledge of HACCP and GMP
- Familiarity of quality management systems
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Knowledge of hygienic and security rules applied to the Food industry
