At CableCom, as a Quality Control Technician, you’ll perform lead duties in identifying and addressing field quality deficiencies resulting in fewer damages. This position will also work in the warehouse.

What you’ll do as a Quality Control Technician
- Receive, inspect, store and secure all supplies and materials when delivered
- Maintain all received inventory in an organized and efficient manner
- Assign and account for all materials issued to work crews on a daily basis
- Maintain a “shelf stock” of parts, tools, and any other job required supplies
- Conduct a complete physical inventory each month that will account for all materials stored, received, and issued from the warehouse and yard
- Maintain material usage logs/spreadsheets to comply with our customer’s usage and tracking systems
- Assist in the management, maintenance, and upkeep of fleet tools and equipment assigned to the project
- Perform assigned tasks as related to specific functions that may include any combination of general clerical duties, tasks, or special projects as required or assigned
- Drive a company truck in a proper manner to transport and deliver a variety of supplies and materials
- Load and unload trucks using a forklift and properly secure load for travel
- Ensure that all warehouse vehicle and equipment are maintained daily
- Select audits by working with operations supervisors, managers, and Field Check partners to prevent potential damages
- Perform field audits for accuracy of marks and compliance with applicable state laws, regulations, and contractual obligations per clients
- Conduct root cause analysis on quality failures
- Complete all applicable forms and documents required for the auditing and investigation processes, and communicate audits and investigation findings with quality assurance and operations management
- Correct field risk findings and coach/mentor technicians
- Perform quality assurance ride-along with field technician upon Operations Manager request
- Provide frequent and ongoing feedback to Field Check partner to improve quality results and reduce damages
- Provide witness testimony in small claims and litigated cases when necessary
What you’ll need
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- Two or more years of experience in telecom construction and/or equivalent
- The ability to troubleshoot difficult locates and proficiently interpret all utility plats
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Suite
