Overview:CAES Lansdale PA seeks a Senior Quality Engineer who will be responsible for QMS Compliance. This role creates, develops, trains and improves internal auditing programs and works with stakeholders to ensure audit readiness throughout the year. Leads interactions with government agencies like DLA, MDA, JPL, Aerospace and other customers.
Creates checklists and conducts internal quality assurance audits to assess compliance with AS9100 and MIL-PRF-38535 requirements and guidelines and ensures creation and implementation of CAPAs to address internal audit findings. Working with existing and new customers by planning and executing onsite customer audits and survey completion to ensure performance to customer quality standards and regulatory requirements are met.
Responsibilities:
We are expecting you to:
- Be the Quality Engineer point of contact for Quality Management System
- Evaluate company processes (Business and Quality Systems) for compliance with quality requirements
- Develops audit checklist, audit schedule, record and compile audit results and presents them to top management, assists with follow up audits, findings, opportunities for improvements, assist with root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action and preventive action
- Lead AS9100 & MIL-PRF-38535 quality audits
- Identify processes, situations, etc., where organization is meeting requirements, as well as identify opportunities for improvement
- Train team members in all elements of AS9100 QMS system, to include root cause, corrective action, surveillance, FOD, ESD and other customer requirements
- Lead and develop Quality Engineering Technicians team (3 personnel). Leverage people and leadership skills and strategic vision to work with and through various teams across Frontgrade to establish a dynamic and effective QMS system while still maintaining strong and positive relationships with our customers
- Work with existing and new customers by planning and executing audits to ensure performance to quality standards and regulatory requirements are be met
- Ensure all facets of CAPA activities are addressed including effectiveness for internal and customer audit findings
- Create training elements for Quality Engineering Technicians to perform Supplier Audits
- Keep up with standards like MIL-PRF-38535, QML programs, MIL-STD-883, AS9100, ISO 9001 and enhance/revise internal processes/training when necessary
- Interface with Government customers and agencies

- BS in Engineering and minimum 5 years' experience in Quality Engineering
- Without degree; directly relevant experience will be considered if it equates to the degree + experience level
- This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a “US Person” under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Master's Degree and minimum 3 years' experience
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, communication and writing skills
- Ability to lead effective corrective action using disciplines problem solving methods
- In-depth knowledge of AS9100 Rev D and ISO 9001-2015 standards
- ISO Auditor experience
- Demonstrated continuous improvement expertise
- Motivated self-starter
- Microsoft office suite literate
- Certified Lead Auditor experience (AS9100/ISO9001)
- Green/Black Belt
- Defense/Aerospace Industry experience
- Existing certification to AATT (Aerospace Auditor Transition Training)
- ASQ Certification (CQE, CMQ/OE, or CQA)
- AS9102
- TIPQA experience
Annual Range: $93,495- $115,494 Annully (Lansdale, PA)
Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
