Quality Engineer
Our client is a reputable and growing CNC Production Machining and Assembly manufacturing company working in the automotive, heavy truck, defense, aerospace, etc. industries. Primary Responsibilities
- Document control experience, ensure control plan is adhered to.
- Make SPC analysis and raise PDCA when upper or lower control limits are reached (defined by software).
- Proactively react to data before parts are out of spec. Raise PDCA as required. Utilize Metrology group experts to help in analysis.
- Support concerns reported by customers and fully support with the 8D process.
- Utilize station/end of line reject data to prioritize on the top 3 issues and lead PDCA process until verified it’s resolved.
- Audit process controls in the assigned area as defined in the product’s control plan.
- Ensure the proper use of first piece check lists, visual aids, red rabbits, boundary samples and inspection criteria in the assigned area
- Support on the validation of implemented corrective actions as well as their level of effectiveness.
Required Experience:
- Experience in automotive industry as Tier 1 supplier.
- Problem solving analysis
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, and Project.
- 2+ years equivalent experience in quality
- Customer specific requirements (preferred: Ford, Tesla, FCA, VW, Nissan, Mercedes Benz, GM and BRP).
- Machining application experience
- ISO/TS 16949, VDA 6.3, Q1 (preferred).
- Core tools for automotive industry (APQP, PFMEA, PPAP, SPC, and MSA).
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field.
