Quality Lab Tech - CrossFire Group

Our client, a large chemical manufacturer is looking for a QA Specialist to join their team. 

This is a long-term contract role with a a pay rate of $21.00 hourly. Possible extension or direct hire. Benefits available. 

Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Specialist to join our manufacturing team and play a critical role in ensuring all products meet stringent specifications. In this role, you will be responsible for testing, inspecting, and verifying that raw materials, in-process, and finished goods adhere to required quality standards.

Job Purpose: You will work closely with various plant personnel, including supervisors, maintenance staff, operators, and shipping/receiving teams, as well as fellow QA members, to monitor production quality. Your role will also involve routine collaboration with process engineers and supply chain specialists to uphold and improve product standards.

Key Qualifications & Responsibilities:

• Laboratory Expertise: Utilize your laboratory experience to conduct physical testing and inspect incoming samples and raw materials, ensuring compliance with quality specifications.

• Cross-Department Communication: Employ your strong communication skills to effectively convey quality-related issues to different departments and facilitate resolutions.

• Data Management: Maintain accurate records and generate reports related to quality assurance activities, utilizing SAP and other relevant computer systems.

• Detail-Oriented Testing: With an eye for detail and adherence to written instructions, prepare and test raw materials, in-process, and finished goods samples to confirm they meet all specifications.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Preferred: College education in Chemistry or a related scientific field.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and computers for record-keeping and data management.
