Primary Responsibilities: - Newly hired and/or works under close supervision on assignments that are routine in nature where limited judgment is required and typically detailed instructions on work are given.
- Performs internal audits for processes and products to assure compliance to the documented quality system.
- Coordinates the successful closure of all closed loop corrective actions concerning quality issues of products and processes.
- Acts in a leadership role to provide manufacturing with the necessary tools, training, and guidance to continually improve product and process quality.
- Assists in attaining department quality, cost goals and objectives.
- Reports key measurements to management.
- Promotes a harmonious working environment that fosters continuous improvement.
- Performs miscellaneous tasks as assigned by department management.
- Performs basic quality techniques and reports on materials, returns and processes.
- Coordinates the First Article process as needed.
- Coordinates the successful closure of all customer complaints.
- Tests, calibrates and repairs electrical, mechanical, electromechanical and electronic measuring, recording and indicating instruments for conformance to established standards as needed.
- Disassembles instruments and equipment and inspects components for defects and issues necessary repairs, maintenance and calibration
