Millennium Physician Group is seeking to hire a full-time Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist to join the Medical Office team in Venice, FL. We are looking for a new team member who is positive, energetic, well-organized, has the ability to multi-task, and think outside of the box. A Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist or RCIS assists the cardiologist with cardiac catheterization procedures. These procedures can determine if a blockage exists in the blood vessels that supply the heart muscle and can help diagnose other problems. Some of the roles/responsibilities of the cardiovascular invasive specialist include Preparing patients and equipment for cardiac catheterization and interventions. Performing common catheterization interventions including, stent placements, balloon angioplasties, heart valve replacements, and electrophysiology tests.
Millennium will provide you with extensive training, which will include both classroom setting training and in office shadowing. We will introduce and walk you through our Electronic Health Records systems, referral processes, our Patient Portal, and everything you will need to know to be a successful team member!

Required Knowledge and Experience
- Associate Degree in Nursing(ADN) or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program
- Candidates also must pass theNCLEX-RN
- Upon completion of 1 year of work experience involving invasive cardiovascular technology and responsibilities, and completion of 600 diagnostic or interventional procedures, associate can take the RCIS exam and become a certified specialist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
Required Skills and Abilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong computer skills and knowledge of EMR systems; Athena knowledge preferred but not required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb and balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
