A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN RN ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF NURSING (ADON)
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) works hand in hand with the Director of Nursing to maintain the efficiency and cohesion of the nursing team and to raise the quality of service and level of care provided to the residents. In the absence of the Director of Nursing, the ADON is responsible for overseeing the entire team and maintaining the quality of care as well as exceptional customer service. All in accordance of the rules and regulations set forth at the local, state or federal level.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN RN ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF NURSING (ADON)
- The Ideal candidate is a highly motivated team player, who’s able to multitask, works well in stressful situations, and has a positive outlook.
- Active RN license as well as previous ADON or UM experience in a Long-Term Care setting.
