We have a rewarding career opportunity available for a Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). The ADON is responsible for assisting the DON in developing, directing, and monitoring all nursing-related operations within the facility. In order to provide the highest quality of care and services to our residents, applicant must possess strong management, leadership, and communication skills.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain nursing service policies and procedures to implement the program of care.
• Complete forms, reports, evaluations, studies related to nursing operations.
• Participate in facility surveys made by authorized government agencies.
• Participate in coordination of patient services through departmental and appropriate staff committee meetings (e.g. infection control, patient care policies, and quality control).
• Cooperate with the administration in planning the competence of the personnel. Specific attention is given to improving supervisory skills of the charge nurses, and multi-disciplinary approach to patient care.
• Participate in planning and budgeting for nursing services.
• Review the nursing requirements of each patient admitted to the facility and assist the attending physician, as needed in planning for each patient’s care.
• Establish a procedure for ensuring that nursing personnel have a valid and current license.
• Responsible for:
• Schedule for daily rounds to see all patients.
• Methods for coordination of nursing services with other patient services.
• Recommending the number and levels of nursing personnel to be employed.
• Prepare the work schedule for all nursing department personnel.
• Must be available after hours to remedy problems that arise in the nursing department.
• Responsibility for staffing, training, supervision, discipline, and schedule for department.
Requirements:
• Registered as a Nurse in the State of Kentucky.
