RN Director 1 - Infirmary Health

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing AND B.S. degree in nursing or another health related field or business

• Considerable knowledge of clinical practice

• Working knowledge of management principles

• Proven leadership skills

• Working knowledge of Director level responsibilities in a similar clinical environment – Preadmission testing/Preoperative/ Surgical Services/Sterile Processing/ PACU/Ambulatory Services

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• Current RN licensure in the State of Alabama
• National Certification in area of clinical responsibility within two years of eligibility requirement

Desired Qualifications:

• MSN, Master’s degree in health related field, or MBA
• Working knowledge of Director level responsibilities in a similar clinical environment
• Upon hire or promotion, National Certification in area of expertise

Directs the overall operations of more than one function or department and/or has a multi-business-unit focus to provide defined patient care services which meet IHS's standards of quality, efficiency and desired outcomes.
