About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Emergency Room (ER) **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 12-Hour Nights; 2 weekends every 4 weeks; 2 out of 3 major holidays **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum of 2 years **License:** Required to submit **Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIHSS **Must-Have:** Cerner experience preferred; strong documentation skills **Job Description:** - Work in a 33-bed Emergency Room, equipped with cardiac monitors, triage area, and staffed with mid-level practitioners and experienced RNs or LVNs. - Manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, with an average of 210 patients seen. - Maintain communication with a charge nurse available 24/7 and collaborate with ER Techs skilled in EMT, MA, or CNA duties, including EKGs. - Expected to work every other weekend and cover 2 out of 3 major holidays. - Follow a dress code of navy blue scrubs; scrub jacket and undershirt should be navy, white, or black. - Operate with GE Telemetry systems and have access to pharmacy support 24/7. - Participate in floor-specific orientation for up to 6 shifts with a preceptor. - Handle routine and typical ER patients; however, STEMIs, hemorrhagic strokes, and pediatric cases are referred out. - Ensure comprehensive and accurate patient documentation. - Comply with federal laws to stabilize and treat all patients regardless of insurance or payment capability. - Participate in orientation and testing out of Cerner training if experienced. - The hospital may cancel up to 3 times per contract, covering either a full or partial shift.
