About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse - Emergency Room **Job Specialty:** Emergency Department **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 12 Hour Variable **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 per week **Experience:** Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience preferred **License:** Registered Nurse license approved by a board of nursing **Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, PALS; CPI or MAB/MOAB preferred **Must-Have:** Experience with EPIC charting system is preferred **Job Description:** - Provide care for a wide range of patients from neonates to geriatrics in a Level 2 trauma center - Handle cases involving conditions such as sepsis, DKA, respiratory illnesses, GI bleeds, heavy trauma, stroke, and cardiac issues - Conduct triage assessments to determine patient acuity and prioritize care - Collect evidence in cases involving sexual assault, with support from a dedicated coordinator and team resources - Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and specialists - Float, as needed, to Med/Surg, PCU, or ICU areas to perform duties within scope without assuming a full assignment - Participate in orientation, including facility overview and department education - Flexible scheduling to fill staffing gaps, potentially working weekends depending on department needs
