About The Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Emergency Department Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days, 07:00-19:00 Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 (must be indicated upon submission) Experience: 1 year in Level 1 Trauma or 2 years in Level 2 Trauma License: Current RN License (eligible for licensure in Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri) Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS from AHA only; TNCC, NIHSS (must obtain prior to start, can be submitted without initially) Must-Have: - Minimum of 1 year of experience in Emergency Department in a Level 1 Trauma center or 2 years in a Level 2 Trauma facility Job Description: - Perform direct patient care activities for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation - Monitor and coordinate patient care with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort - Function within the scope of nursing preparation aligned with established guidelines and standards - Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care, ensuring professional accountability - Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers - Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments - Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information - Demonstrate skills in human relations and communications - Maintain clinical expertise and practice consistent with established guidelines and standards - Stand and walk for most of the time on duty, with physical demands including lifting and pushing patients - Abide by the organization’s mission, values, and service standards Additional Information: - Must be flexible, determined, and decisive - Experience with trauma/pediatric and high acuity cases preferred - This role is in a busy urban trauma center with a high patient volume and high acuity cases - Scrub color required: Professional attire in accordance with guidelines (black scrub color preferred) Note: Some restrictions apply to block schedule requests and specific holidays.
