About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Critical Care Unit (CCU) **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend required; holidays as needed; no on-call **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Experience:** 2+ years of strong experience in ICU/CCU (cardiac) and Med/Surg **License:** State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license **Certifications:** BLS-AHA, ACLS-AHA; NIHSS (required prior to start); CCRN preferred **Must-Have:** Knowledge of complex cardiac care, such as balloon pumps **Job Description:** - Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care. - Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs. - Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. - Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments. - Initiate assessment based on patient issues or needs, physician's medical diagnosis, and functional health framework. - Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care. - Document care based on standards, patient acuity, and clinical priorities. - Advocate for evidence-based practice standards and support the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. - Provide patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model. - Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. - Will care for COVID-19 patients when needed. May float to any unit within the hospital, including MedSurg, Telemetry, and Step Down units. - Must be highly reliable and available to work all scheduled days except those pre-disclosed before an offer.
