Job Description:
We are looking for experienced and compassionate PRN Nurses to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and excellent interpersonal skills. As a Vaccination Nurse, you will play a crucial role at our onsite clinics, administering vaccines for diverse populations. You will also have the chance to perform biometric screenings. This position offers flexibility, allowing you to choose shifts that fit your schedule while making a significant impact on public health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer vaccines such as Flu, Tdap, Shingles, Pneumonia, HPV, etc., in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
- Perform COVID-19 vaccinations utilizing vaccines from multiple manufacturers Certification in COVID-19 vaccine administration is required, and we will provide you with the necessary links for certification after onboarding.
- Perform COVID-19 testing, including sample collection using nasopharyngeal technique or the technique instructed by the test manufacturer.
- Conduct biometric testing, including sample collection using finger-stick technique or venous blood collection, manual and automatic blood pressure readings, body mass index, body fat, and other health screenings as needed.
- Attend paid training sessions as required, both in-person and via Microsoft Teams.
- Function as a team player to ensure the success of assigned programs.
- Assist with the transportation of medical instruments and supplies to and from screening events as needed.
- Facilitate effective communication between Program Managers and Clients as necessary.
- Willingness to provide services at different vaccination sites within the designated area. (reliable transportation is required)
- Assist with transporting medical instruments and supplies to and from screening or vaccination events, if necessary.
- Perform additional related duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in your state.
- CPR certification required.
- Minimum of [2] years of nursing experience, with previous vaccination experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Bilingual skills are a huge plus but no required.
Physical Demands:
- Extended periods of standing, sitting and walking.
- Some bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds).
Compensation:
- Standard per diem, PRN hourly rate based on your credentials.
- Options to be a Team Lead may be assigned, and includes an hourly differently when utilized as such.
- Paid trainings as they are required for an event. Onboarding training is non-compensated.
Pay: $37/hour - $46/hour
