About The Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Labor & Delivery Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night - 3x12 - 7 PM - 7 AM (36 Hours per week) Guaranteed Hours: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience License: ASN required Certifications: - BLS (AHA) - ACLS (AHA) - NRP - C-EFM (Certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring) Must-Have: - Experience circulating with C-sections - English proficiency (Speak, Read, Write) Preferred: - BSN - Scrub experience - Experience with IV insertions, IV pumps, blood draws, labor bed, warmers, PCA and Epidural pumps, SCD machines, Pulse OX, and O2 Setup Job Description: - Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care. - Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs. - Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. - Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care for patients assigned through initial and ongoing assessments. - Initiate assessments based on the patient's problems or needs, medical diagnosis, and functional health framework. - Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care. - Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities. - Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. - Provide patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice models. - Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. - Note: RN will not be floated as an RN assignment but more in a PCT role, where they will be taking vitals and assisting the nursing staff. - Schedule: Every other weekend required; holidays as needed. No on-call duties. - Patient Ratio: 1:2, maximum ratio 1:3. - Births: 130-160 per month; C-sections: 40-60 per month.
