$62 to $70 per hour
About The Position
Location: Concord, MA
Contract: 13 Weeks
Shift: 3x12; Days or Nights
Local Pay: $62/hr || Traveler Pay: $70/hr
Job Duties:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to pregnant women during labor, childbirth, and the immediate postpartum period.
- Assess and monitor maternal vital signs, contractions, and fetal heart rate to ensure safe progression of labor for both mother and baby.
- Offer guidance and emotional support to the mother during labor, administering medications such as pain relief options (e.g., epidurals) as needed.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and pediatricians to coordinate care and respond to any complications.
- Provide post-delivery care for both mother and newborn, monitoring recovery, assisting with breastfeeding, and educating the mother on newborn care.
- Be prepared to respond to obstetric emergencies such as hemorrhage, fetal distress, or preeclampsia.
- Accurately record patient information, interventions, and changes in condition.
- Educate expectant mothers and their families on labor processes, postpartum care, and newborn care.
Requirements:
- Schedule: 3x12 shifts, with every other weekend and holiday required.
- Current Massachusetts RN License.
- BLS Certification (AHA).
- Experience in Labor and Delivery preferred.
- 2024/2025 flu vaccine required prior to start.
