About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** Medical-Surgical/Geriatrics **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** Nights (19:00-07:30) **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 per week **Experience:** Minimum 2 years **License:** Active RN license required **Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) **Must-Have:** Active RN license, BLS certification, basic nursing skills, and experience **Job Description:** - Work on a medical-surgical and geriatrics unit. - Care primarily for patients aged 65 and older with various diagnoses. - Maintain patient ratios of 1:4-5 with the support of a Patient Care Technician (PCT). - Utilize equipment like lift gear, bed extenders, mobility devices, glucometers, IV pumps/poles, and wound vacuums. - Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system. - Participate in every third-weekend rotation, with no on-call requirements. - Exhibit a friendly, outgoing, and team-oriented personality. - Wear navy blue scrubs as the standard uniform. - Floating as needed to other units. - Participate in team orientation and uphold unit standards. - Provide compassionate care and demonstrate strong communication skills.
