About The Position
**Job Title:** RN - Acute Care Float - Nights **Job Specialty:** Registered / Licensed - Inpatient **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** Night (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every other weekend, 2 major and 2 minor holidays) **Guaranteed Hours:** **Experience:** Less than 1 year, completion of accredited/approved school of nursing with requisite clinical hours required, direct patient care experience preferred **License:** RN Licensed (Single State or Multi-state Compact) **Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIHSS **Must-Have:** Ability to read, write, and speak English, strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, customer service skills, ability to function in a fast-paced environment, excellent time management skills, evidence and analytical skills, strong critical thinking skills, basic computer skills **Job Description:** - Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation) using evidence-based practice and analytical/critical thinking to ensure individualized care. - Coordinate care through effective partnerships, recognizing that caring is central to achieving optimal patient outcomes. - Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care consistent with population-specific characteristics. - Partner with patients and significant others (as appropriate) to focus on the patient's goals in the plan of care. - Uphold current clinical practice standards. - Coordinate safe quality patient care, promoting inclusive interdisciplinary communication methods. - Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration in a fiscally responsible manner. - Participate in performance improvement and support research utilization to promote safe, quality patient care. - Complete all initial and ongoing professional competency assessments and mandatory education. - Serve as a preceptor or mentor for professional nurses, modeling professional practice. - Promote evidence-based practice and participate in activities like value analysis. - Uphold organizational policies, procedures, and clinical competencies, ensuring adherence to legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards. - Engage in data collection and consult appropriate resources to address practice questions. - Plan proactively for the care of patients across the care continuum. - Support the development of protocols and procedures for best practice outcomes. - Utilize resources efficiently and effectively. **Additional Notes:** Night shift (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) with every other weekend and 2 major, 2 minor holidays.
