About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** Medical Surgical - Trauma **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) **Guaranteed Hours:** Yes **Experience:** Minimum 2 years required **License:** Valid State License or Compact License (Pending license accepted) **Certifications:** BCLS required **Must-Have:** Experience with Trachs, wound care, dressings, wound vacs, tubes, and drains. No experience required with drips or chest tubes. **Job Description:** - bi-weekly start dates with compliance tier start date 3-4 weeks out - Maintain patient ratio of 1:4-5 in a trauma unit setting - Requirement to work every other weekend - Orientation consists of 40 hours - Provide care for patients from ED, OR, or ICU settings with diagnoses such as: - Geriatric trauma: Patients aged 55+ - Trauma from abuse/violence, motor vehicle accidents, falls - Acute Care Surgery for appendicitis, gallbladders, hernia repairs, fistulas, wounds, burns, traumatic brain injuries - Use of specialized equipment such as lifts, restraints, wound vacs, traction devices, and external fixators - Float within the scope to meet facility needs - No local candidates accepted within a certain mile radius - Submit references with a preference for supervisory references within the last two years - Charting experience with EPIC is required Ensure all compliance deadlines are met, and special requirements such as long-term contract interest or preference for weekly hours are clearly indicated. Candidates must follow outlined holiday policies and adhere to restrictions concerning missed shifts and tardiness.
