About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** Medical Surgical - Trauma **Job Duration:** 13 Weeks **Shift:** Night, 4x12-Hour (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) **Guaranteed Hours:** Yes **Experience:** 2 Years **License:** Valid State License or Compact License **Certifications:** BCLS **Must-Have:** - EPIC Charting Experience - Med/Surg - Blood Product Administration - Peripheral Line Care/Management - Phlebotomy - Starting IVs - Insulin - PCA - Experience with Spinal Cord Injuries, Traumatic Brain Injury, Ortho Trauma, Peripheral Nerve Block Catheters, Total Joint Replacements, Surgical Drains, and Chest Tubes - Experience with CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Oral Suctioning, Oxygen Face Masks, and Portable Oxygen Tank - Wound Care/Wound Vac - Level 1 Trauma Experience **Job Description:** - Provide nursing care for patients with conditions arising from trauma, surgery, and other medical procedures. - Administer medications and blood products as required. - Perform peripheral line care and management. - Start IVs and perform phlebotomy. - Care for patients with spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, ortho trauma, and more. - Manage surgical drains, chest tubes, and other specialized equipment. - Implement isolation precautions and ensure the safety of patients and staff. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC charting system. - Participate in patient care related to acute care surgery and geriatric trauma cases. - Adhere to required weekend, holiday, and call-in policies. - Float within the scope as needed to meet facility needs.
