About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 12-Hour Nights, 7 PM - 7 AM, Every Other Weekend, First to Float **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum 2 years of NICU experience **License:** Required **Certifications:** BLS, NRP, COVID Vaccine Required **Must-Have:** - Level 3 NICU experience - Ability to attend deliveries preferred - Travel experience is preferred **Job Description:** - NICU Level: 3b - Working in a 16-bed unit, which will be expanding to 20 beds within a year - Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 1:3 if feeder/growers - Common patient cases include all gestational ages, premature births, sepsis, and substance abuse/withdrawal - Experience with cooling therapies is preferred - Experience in Spanish is preferred - Unit supports: - EMR System: Cerner - Equipment: Aveya vents, bubble CPAP, Vapotherm, oscillator - Telemetry/Monitor: Phillips, no dedicated monitor tech - Team and Support: - Neonatologist availability: On call - Respiratory Therapist: Available 24/7 - Pharmacy Support: Available 24/7 - Charge Nurse present - No Nurse Aides or IV Team - Additional Requirements: - Weekend work is required on a rotational basis - Holiday work is integrated with permanent staff - Scrub Color: Navy - Floating to Labor & Delivery or Postpartum units to care for babies may be required - Orientation and Additional Information: - Floor-specific orientation will last 2-3 shifts - Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts per assignment This position presents an excellent opportunity for experienced NICU nurses to work in a dynamic and expanding environment focused on providing top-tier neonatal care.
