RN OP INSTRUCTOR - Blount Memorial Hospital

• JOB SUMMARY

  • To assist with the implementation of health and safety programs in various client companies under the direction and supervision of the Programs Nurse Supervisor. The Programs Staff Nurse is flexible to meet the needs of the client company working within the parameters of the Medical Directives, Policies and Procedures, and Programs. Provide safe, efficient, and therapeutically effective nursing care; and maintain standards for quality occupational health nursing and safety education. Must have or be willing to obtain a Red Cross Instructor Certification for Bloodborne Pathogens, CPR / First Aid and AED. Must be willing to offer programs in an industrial setting.

• JOB SPECIFICATIONS
  • Education and/or experience: Current RN License in the State of Tennessee required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. Provides own nursing liability insurance coverage. Current drivers license in the State of Tennessee; CPR and AED Certifications. American Red Cross Instructor preferred. Minimum two years RN experience required. Occupational health experience preferred.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of occupational/industrial nursing.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and organization skills; Excellent nursing and interpersonal skills. Good presentation, education / training skills.
  • Abilities: Must be organized, responsible, motivated and self-directed. Must have the ability to implement program goals and objectives.
