About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** Progressive Care Unit (PCU) **Job Duration:** 8-Week Assignment **Shift:** Night Shift, 4x12-Hour (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 or 48-hour contract options **Experience:** Minimum 2 Years of RN Experience Required **License:** WV RN License or Compact License (Pending License Acceptable) **Certifications:** - BLS, ACLS (via American Heart Association) - PALS (if required by unit) **Must-Have:** - Experience with chest tube insertion assistance, management, and removal - Central line experience - Experience with external/internal pacemakers and wound vacs **Job Description:** - Start between November 11 and December 11 - Work 48 hours per week - Must work during holidays: Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day - 29 Beds - Progressive care for post-op open heart and other cardiothoracic post-surgical patients requiring cardiac monitoring - Accepts Med/Surg overflow - Orientation held every other week on Thursday - 4:1 Patient Ratio - Every other weekend required - Must be open to accommodating blocked schedule requests - Must provide two manager or charge references within the past two years - Must be willing to float within the scope to meet facility needs - COVID-19 vaccine not required; flu vaccine required with medical exemptions only Hospital Highlights: - Level IV Trauma Center - Major teaching hospital, member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems - Total Staffed Beds: 838 - Scrub Color: Royal Blue/White (RN) - Charting: Cerner
