About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** Intermediate Care Medical Cardiac **Job Duration:** 13 Weeks **Shift:** Night Shift (3x12-Hour: 18:45 - 07:15) **Guaranteed Hours:** Hours may be reduced up to 36 hours over a thirteen-week assignment without compensation for canceled hours. **Experience:** Minimum 2 years required. First-time applicants accepted. Previous charge experience and teaching hospital experience preferred. **License:** Must have an active Illinois license or be in the application process with an active ETA. **Certifications:** ACLS and BLS required. **Must-Have:** - MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Tele, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience - Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias - Experience with cardiac monitoring and emergency response - Experience with post cardiac angiogram, post MI, pre/post cardiac catheterization, pre/post cardiac surgery, sheath removal, and TR band - IV therapy/phlebotomy skills including accessing ports, arterial line management, and blood product administration - Management of cardiac and vasoactive drips, administration of PCA - Experience with surgical drains and respiratory case skills like chest tubes and various oxygen delivery systems - Isolation precautions and wound care/wound vac - Experience in Cerner required **Job Description:** - Work every other weekend as part of the required shifts - Float within scope to meet facility needs and to like units as needed - Open to accommodating block schedule; coordinate with manager for schedule requests - Clinical setting involves acute care in a large facility - Will participate in orientation, which includes 16 non-billable hours - Required to complete modules virtually on the first day and annually thereafter - Engage in various aspects of patient care, particularly cardiac and critical care scenarios - Manage telemetry both on the unit and remotely - Handle a range of case skills across multidisciplinary areas such as cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, genitourinary/renal, neurological/psychiatric, and respiratory - Maintain professional standards in line with facility protocols and participate in continuous professional development sessions as required Flu vaccine is required with medical/religious exemptions only, while COVID-19 vaccine is not required.
