RN Registered Nurse - Mother Baby Unit (MBU) - Ascension

We Are Hiring:

 

• Department:  Mother Baby Unit (MBU)
• Schedule:  Part Time | 24 hr/week - Rotating Shift |12 hours shifts and Weekend & Holiday rotations.
• Hospital:  Ascension Saint Vincent's Women's Hospital
• Location:  Indianapolis, IN

Ascension St. Vincent Women’s Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana, is a hospital that specializes in women's healthcare, at every stage of life and is a destination for specialty care - including high risk pregnancy care, women’s health, pediatric specialty services and maternity services.

What You Will Do:

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What You Will Need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.

Additional Preferences:

Recent Mother Baby /GYN experience strongly preferred.
Surgical GYN experience also preferred.

Women and Infants Hospital Coming Soon

In fall of 2024 it will be moving and expanding to the new Women and Infants Hospital opening at 2001 W. 86th St. connected to Peyton Manning Children's Hospital and Ascension St. Vincent Hospital Indianapolis.

This new hospital space will feature 30 maternity suites for parents to spend time with their newborns. It is the first hospital in Central Indiana offering high risk mom and baby a room together, known as couplet care

Ascension St. Vincent Women's Hospital in Indianapolis is one of only two Level IV Perinatal Healthcare Centers in Indiana, while Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital has a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center. Combining the level of advanced specialized care will give families the best women's health and pediatric care throughout the state and region.
