About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Acute Rehabilitation **Job Duration:** 13 Weeks **Shift:** Night - 12x3 - 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 Hours a Week **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 Hours **Experience:** Minimum of 2+ years of recent strong rehab experience in a hospital setting **License:** NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license **Certifications:** - Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association - National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) **Must-Have:** - Minimum of 2+ years of recent strong rehab experience in a hospital setting **Job Description:** - Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care. - Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs. - Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. - Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments. - Initiate assessments based on patient problems or needs, medical diagnosis, and functional health framework. - Perform therapeutic nursing interventions. - Manage care effectively for patients. - Document care according to standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities. - Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of innovations in care delivery. - Provide patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model. - Float to medical-surgical telemetry units if needed. - Work schedule includes every other weekend requirement and holidays as needed. **Preferred Skills & Experience:** - Minimum 2 years of acute rehab and medical/surgical experience is highly preferred. **Preferred Education:** - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. **Language Skills:** - Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
