Shift: Salaried, 40 hours/week, Days
Job Summary
The major areas of responsibility for the stroke program manager includes coordinating & managing all clinical efforts of the multidisciplinary stroke team for patients across the continuum of care. The position requires in-depth knowledge of nursing practice and the ability to apply nursing theories to ensure daily stroke operations are following The Joint Commission Stroke Center Standards (TJC).

Responsibilities:
- Provides daily stroke program oversight for operations and clinical effectiveness
- Maintains continuous readiness for TJC regulatory requirements
- Manages, maintains, and updates stroke program policies, guidelines, ordersets, and clinical practice guidelines.
- Manages and monitors the development, utilization, and revisions to stroke standards of care
- Maintains professional affiliation with regulatory bodies and professional organizations
- Demonstrates an advanced understanding of stroke care and related procedures
- Promotes positive image of stroke program by exhibiting professionalism
- Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards of conduct
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of science degree in nursing
- Five (5) years of nursing experience in an ED, ICU, or neuroscience floor
Active Kentucky registered nurse license or compact license with privileges to work in Kentucky
- Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master of science degree in nursing
- Previous stroke coordinator or program management
- National nursing speciality certification
