About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Telemetry **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** Nights, 19:00-07:00 **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 or 48 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum 1 year in Telemetry, inpatient only; preferred 1 year in Neuro, inpatient only **License:** Current RN License eligible for licensure in Missouri **Certifications:** - Required: BLS from AHA only, NIHSS (can be obtained prior to start) - Preferred: Additional relevant certifications **Must-Have:** One year of Telemetry experience in an inpatient setting **Job Description:** - Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care. - Maintain professional accountability in the provision of patient care. - Evaluate overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. - Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments. - Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. - Perform duties and responsibilities consistent with mission, values, and service standards. - Carry out direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. - Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. - Stand and walk for most of the time on duty. - Meet unit-specific physical demands including bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance. - Work differing schedules, shifts, or frequencies according to patient care requirements. - Be exposed to high-risk environments with blood and body fluids. - Physical demands include push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs., pinch up to 15 lbs., minimally kneel, crouch, and crawl. - Provide patient care post-trauma, surgical interventions, and for medical comorbidities. - Ensure duties are performed following established guidelines of practice consistent with the Nurse Practice Act and Code of Conduct. - Wear black scrubs as part of the dress code; unacceptable attire includes anything but black scrubs. - Float on a rotational basis if required by the facility. - Work involves significant consideration regarding patient ratios which may vary. **Additional Information:** Weekend hours may be required as per facility needs. There are no call requirements. The job includes working certain physical conditions and mental requirements typical of a nursing role.
