Mercy STL offers RNFA Residency for any OR Experienced RN interested in obtaining an RNFA. This is a great opportunity for you to receive paid training and orientation to obtain your credentials and advance in your OR Career!
*Note: BSN Degree is a prerequisite to be eligible and must be currently enrolled in RNFA program.
Up to $7,500 Sign On Bonus

Mercy St. Louis OR conducts a variety of cases including Orthopedics, Neurology, GYN and ENT Services. RNs are typically hired into one of these specialty pods, and may have the opportunity to cross-train to other pods in the department.
Proposed Schedule: Three 12s, Four 10s or Five 8s (Days)

The RN First Assistant practices perioperative nursing and has acquired the knowledge, skills, and judgment through organized instruction and supervised practice to first or second assist the surgeon in the operating room. The intraoperative activities of the RN first assistant must be supervised by a surgeon. All duties and responsibilities are performed in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and mercy service standards.
Because you’re committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That’s why you’ll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:
- Licensure: Must have either a current RN Temporary Permit/RN license in the State of Missouri.
- Experience: Must have minimum of 1 year intraoperative experience.
- Certifications:
- CNOR and RN-First Assistant class required within one year of hire/transfer.
- BLS/ACLS required within first year.
- Preferred Education: BSN Degree.
- Preferred Experience: Three (3) or more years intraoperative experience.
- Preferred Certifications: CNOR, CRNFA.
