General Certification Requirements (BLS, etc.) BLS for Healthcare worker, N95 fit tested
Certs/ARRT & other specialty certification requirements ARRT in MR. Washington State Radiologic Technologist License if candidate is ARRT certified in X Ray or Computed Tomography
How many scanners/rooms does this department have? Two at the Main Hospital - and Three outpatient clinics
Will they have to float/cover any other areas? If needed float to outpatient clinics.
Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties Brain, neck, Spine, Chest, Abd, Pelvis, Breast, Cardiac, Prostate, MSK, Imaging patients with Implanted devices and researching them prior to Imaging.
Experience or 'Must have' skills Not required but encouraged having experience in MRI Cardiac, Breast and Breast Biopsy MRI.
Average # of scans/studies per day 28
EMR &/or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System: software & hardware) do they use EPIC and Sectra PACS
Department Specific Equipment (Client, Phillips, Siemens) "Main Hospital Client 1.5T & 3T
Outpatient Clinics: Philips, Hitachi"
Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech Supervisor: Kenneth Crossland
Do they use RRA's (Registered Radiology Assistants)? Radiology Aides assist MRI Technologists
Radiologist in-house? Yes
Do they have to start IV's? (if applicable to the department) Yes, IV skills required.
Shifts & Scheduling Varying
Weekend Requirement Varying
Holiday Requirement Participate in the holiday rotation
Call or Standby requirement? Participate in the standby rotation
