Fairview Range is seeking a Radiation Therapist to join our team in Hibbing, MN.
The Radiation Therapist plays a pivotal role in crafting detailed radiation treatment fields for patient interventions, strategically coordinating ionizing radiation in strict adherence to the prescription and guidance provided by the Radiation Oncologist. These professionals are also intricately engaged in the intricate simulation process, adding a layer of expertise to ensure the utmost accuracy and efficacy in the delivery of care.
Schedule: This position is a casual position. The shift length is 8 hours on the day shift, with no call and no weekends.

+ 2 treatment vaults and 1 CT simulation room
+ Varian TrueBeam and iX accelerators, GE CT simulator, Eclipse treatment planning system and Aria EMR.
+ Treatment types: 3D, IMRT, IGRT, RapidArc, DIBH, SBRT and SRS.
+ Multidisciplinary care team including Radiation Oncologist, Medical Oncology providers, Medical physicists, Advance practice providers, Dosimetrist, RN Care Coordinators, LPNs, receptionist, dietitians and Social Workers.
+ Patient population: Adult
+ Eclipse treatment planning system, Identify, Aria and Epic EMR

As a Radiation Therapist, you will be responsible for:
+ Set-up, operate, and supervise the treatment machine.
+ Coordinate radiation therapy as prescribed by the physician.
+ Demonstrate effective written communication skills. Maintain accurate and detailed treatment chart documentation.
+ Preparing room and equipment for patients. Immobilization devices, field parameters, and beam shaping devices.
+ Setting up of patient treatment fields in simulator as outlined by a physician; assists in design, management and drawing of field diagram.
+ Performing machine safety checks, know safe limits of equipment operations, and report abnormalities or inconsistencies to manager and physicist. Completes appropriate forms.
+ Assisting in the orientation of new therapists, physics, nurses and receptionists.
Required Qualifications:
+ Registered Radiation Therapist
+ ARRT
+ BLS
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 1-3 years of experience
+ Bachelor's Degree
