Radiological/Nuclear Engineering Intern (Summer 2025) - Sargent & Lundy

We offer you a variety of interesting and challenging opportunities in nuclear/radiological engineering.  

You will work with a multi-discipline engineering project team engaged in the design and engineering of upgrades and modifications to existing nuclear power plants in the following areas:

• Radiological dose calculations
• Shielding design calculations
• Radiation source term calculations

Working under the direction of senior engineers, this position will offer you the opportunity to utilize and expand your academic background in Radiological/Nuclear Engineering.

Essential skills and experience:

• This position requires completion of coursework toward a BS in Nuclear Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program with a strong academic background and coursework in radiological analysis.
• Good verbal and written communication skills along with strong PC skills are required.

Experience with some of the following computer programs is preferred:

• MCNP
• RADTRAD
• MicroShield
• ORIGEN
• ARCON96
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
