What You’ll Need:
- Graduation from accredit school of Radiology Technology
- Current RT License in State of Illinois by IDNS/IEMA
- Current ARRT Registry/eligible
- Basic Life support (BLS) required.

You will be at the forefront of patient care, conducting essential radiographic procedures on specific anatomical areas to aid physicians in diagnosing and treating patients.
What will you do?:
- Determines appropriate radiographic technique and positions patients using immobilization and support devices to ensure optimum film quality.
- Operation of radiographic, fluoroscopic, portable, computed radiography and PACS equipment to ensure quality examinations.
- Adherence to department standards of radiographic quality.
- Delivery of patient care and in accordance with department standards of continued quality improvement.
- Ensure a secure and safe patient and work environment by maintaining continued awareness of safety hazards.
- Development of leadership skills and professionalism for self through participation in department and/or hospital-based committees and continuing education programs.

Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Exposure to radiation.
- Proficiency in operating portable equipment.
- Ability to interact empathetically with seriously ill patients.
- Strong communication skills to connect with patients.
- Adaptability to flexible work hours, including weekends, holidays, and emergency call-backs.
- Willingness to participate in an 'on-call' program and respond to department needs with minimal notice.
- Capability to perform light, medium, or heavy lifting, depending on the demands of the role:
- LIGHT: Lifting to 20 to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.
- MEDIUM: Lifting to 20 to 50 pounds occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly.
- HEAVY: Lifting 50 to 100 pounds occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds constantly.
- Independent professional decision-making skills with sound judgment.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and showcasing technical competence.
- Capability to function with minimal assistance in performing job activities.
- Proficiency in oral and written communication.
- Potential exposure to hazardous chemicals, such as film processing chemicals.
- Willingness to attend out-of-town site visits for equipment assessments.
If the position involves direct patient care or contact, the following lifting requirement applies as of 06/01/2015: Ability to lift to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts exceeding 35 pounds or when patients are unable to assist, patient handling equipment should be used with the support of at least one other associate, when available. Any unique patient lifting, or movement situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis."
