About the Job
Primary Objective:
Operates various powered industrial trucks to pick up customer orders and convey orders to packing stations or shipping areas.
Shift:
- 2nd: M-F, 2:30 pm-11:00 pm
Equipment Knowledge:
- Sit-Down Forklift
- Stand-Up/Reach Forklift
- Order Picker/Cherry Picker Forklift
Responsibilities:
Picking
- Operate powered industrial truck(s) to assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets.
- Keys order into the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Verifies stock availability and audits orders for accuracy
- Conveys picked orders to packing stations or shipping areas
Receiving
- Operates various powered industrial trucks to receive products into the warehouse and prepare for stocking
- Opens crates and inspects product
- Applies labels to products according to establishing procedures
- Verifies shading of product and places into an accurate warehouse location
Put-away:
- Utilizes powered industrial equipment to move products into pre-designated areas within the warehouse once received
- Keys location of product into the inventory control system and places product onto shelves
- Ensures product is placed into accurate location
General:
- Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to the supervisor
- Follows standard operating and safety procedures
- Keeps area safe, clean, and organized
- Performs other related duties as required
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 or more years of previous distribution/warehouse experience. Must have a minimum of six months to 1 year of sit-down forklift. Reach truck and OP experience.
- Good oral and written communication skills. Good record-keeping skills. Good listening skills. Accurate measurement capability. Ability to understand and speak English.
- Ability to work in a safe conscientious manner.
- Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
