Job Description

A Senior Property Accountant oversees financial activities for real estate portfolios. Responsibilities include managing accounts, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Expertise in accounting principles and property management is essential.

Immediate need for a Senior Staff Accountant to work closely with the CFO of a respected, well-established Atlanta development, construction and property management firm. This professional office is located in Alpharetta. 

General Ledger

• Prepare month-end journal entries.

•  Prepare account reconciliations. 

Operations 

• Perform the accounting for one apartment community and land parcels.

• Perform the accounting for several land parcels• Perform the corporate overhead accounting. 

Cash Management, A/P, A/R and Fixed Assets 

• Process accounts payable.

• Maintain detailed Fixed Assets and Depreciation schedule.

• Ensure accuracy and timely payment of accounts payable. 

• Prepare bank reconciliations and monthly construction draws. 

Yardi and/or Sage 300 experience would be a plus.

Well qualified candidates will have 3 years’ of accounting experience including experience in the private real estate sector. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar discipline is required; a CPA is not required for this positon. This individual must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite, be self-motivated, possess a keen sense of attention to detail, and capable of working with minimum supervision.
