Overview:

Summary:
The Receiving Inspector will be responsible for supporting the receiving functions on a daily basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Place incoming material into Arrived Status in MRP system.
- Confirm part quantity matches PO quantity.
- Inspect parts to Engineering documents standards and specifications.
- Receive purchase orders into the MRP system once parts are verified as acceptable.
- Complete First Article Inspections as required.
- Complete NCR’s for non-conforming material.
- Work priorities when notified to support customer and/or production needs.
- Work with Quality Engineer and Quality Analyst as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures and organize work areas for efficiency and safety.
- Provides status reports to management as required.
- Responds to change productively and handles other duties as required.

Education and Experience:
- 2 years experience in Receiving and Inspection of manufactured and purchased parts.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2 years experience in the use of general metrology equipment found in a light engineering environment (includes height gauges, verniers, calipers etc.).
- MS Office experience required and working knowledge of MRP system, IFS is a plus.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Demonstrated strong and effective communication skills; written, oral, and inter-personal.
- Knowledge of the valve, casting, machining, and PCB industry is a plus.
- Ability to operate Powered Industrial Trucks and pass certification.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English.

- Working Conditions: Individual will generally be working in the production area. Noise levels encountered will vary from heavy machining to minimum noise level. Likewise, individual may be exposed to fumes from chemicals, paints, and assembly glues in the manufacturing areas. Please refer to the MSDS Notebook in this department for specific details regarding chemical exposure.
