Position Summary
St. Croix based law firm is seeking a welcoming, timely, detailed oriented professional to join the team. The Receptionist is responsible for greeting office visitors, handling telephone calls, opening and sorting mail, filing, scheduling/calendaring, office errands and other front desk duties.
Responsibilities
- Receive office visitors
- Answer telephone and provide detailed messages
- Maintain office Email account and ensure swift response
- Complete client intake forms and agreements
- Complete initial file set up
- Maintain calendar of employees. Examples include in and out of office/in Conference
- Handling of Salespersons, Equipment Vendors, Solicitors and others
- Maintain neatness of reception and conference areas
- Report Heating, Air-Conditioning, Lighting, or Electrical Problems
- Report office equipment concerns
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School diploma
- At least 12 months experience working in an office environment
- Knowledge of legal terminology and USVI law is preferred
- Proficient in Adobe and Microsoft Office i.e., Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
- Self-starter that is self-sufficient and focused on multitasking for efficiency
- Strong sense of professionalism
- Business Casual Attire required
- Desire to learn
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with and maintain effective relationships with a diverse group of staff and outside contacts
