About the Job
The Recruiting Specialist has responsibility for the full lifecycle recruitment process with overall responsibility to attract, retain, develop, and engage a talented and diverse workforce for organizational excellence while maintaining regulatory compliance.
T his is Limited-Service full time position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Scope open positions and determine what a successful candidate will look like for their team. - Proactive in identifying candidates utilizing multiple strategies (online databases, social media, Boolean search, complex internet search, etc.). - Continously grow a pipeline of qualified candidates. - Network to develop and maintain strong working relationships with community organizations and team members to maintain a successful partnership. - Engage in the full lifecycle of recruiting, ensuring both the candidate and hiring team . - Utilize social media to attract candidates for consideration. - Complete daily and weekly reports.
- Responsible for full cycle recruiting for regular, limited service, and temporary positions
- Partner with hiring managers and other stakeholders in determining staffing needs, creating requisitions, identifying qualified candidates, arranging interviews, making hiring selections, and extending job offers
- Develop and maintain communication with candidates throughout the recruitment and hiring process
- Follow processes and procedures related to recruitment and onboarding of new hires
- Process conversions for temporary staff converting to regular employees
- Ensure that the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) is maintained, and all tasks are completed timely and accurately
- Ensure all phases of the recruiting process are conducted in accordance with Maximus and Maximus Ethics, Legal and Human Resources policies.
- Focus on continuous learning and development, data integrity, DE&I engagement, recruitment metrics, and technology utilization
- Participate in special projects as required
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Requirements: - Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience. -Must have general knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards. - Strong ability to communicate on complex or sensitive issues or drafts such responses for supervisor or manager.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Minimum of 3 years recruiting experience required
- Experience with high volume recruitment
- Knowledge of basic recruiting practices and processes
- Proficiency using an ATS (Applicant Tracking System), Avature ATS preferred
- Experience with scheduling tools, YouCanBook.Me preferred
- Government contracting industry recruitment experience preferred.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently
- Effective communication skills

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
