Department Summary
The Office of Recruitment provides leadership and administrative oversight of the recruitment and admissions process including screening files, establishing and implementing policies and procedures, scheduling interviews, and other staff support to all Admissions committees. This office is also responsible for directing and overseeing the recruitment for HSC.
Position Overview
The Department of Admissions and Recruitment at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Recruitment/Admissions Associate to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: * Responsible for assisting the Recruitment Director in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating and directing all phases of recruitment. * Provides exceptional customer service. * Develops relationships with Advisors at various Higher Ed institutions *Assists the Director in several duties related to recruitment procedures, maintaining the database of all the information related to the admissions, general administration and relevant management, reporting, etc. * Responds to inquiries or requests from all prospects. * Coordinates and conducts tours for prospective applicants. * Maintains computerized records of prospects, and contact persons and produces timely reports using the information in the data base. * Ensures that brochures are readily available on request and sent out to prospective students upon request. * Assists in the overall operations of the recruitment team. * Provides outstanding customer service to the prospective applicants and current students. * Assists with the application process. * Follows up with prospective applicants and current students promptly either through emails, telephone or regular mail or by having a brief face to face interaction. * Travels DFW, the State of TX, and Out of State Institutions to various College Fairs and Events representing HSC *Performs other duties as assigned.*Help Coordinate Recruitment Events* Helps oversee Marketing efforts and leads efforts in the recruitment of HBCU institutions and is part of the Ambassador Task Force.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and one (1) year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to speak to both large and small groups of people.
Ability to speak to and interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to utilize Webinar software.
Ability to travel locally and throughout the state of Texas for recruitment and training purposes.
Ability to work occasional weekends (Saturday).
Ability to report to work early.
Ability to fly on a commercial airline.
Ability to project and plan travel expenses.
Ability to track and report all travel expenses.
Ability to document accurate recruitment data.
Ability to track and document work hours for transmission to director and/or Payroll.
Preferred Qualifications
One year related experience, events management experience, or higher education experience.Previous experience in higher education, transfer student admission.Previous experience reviewing admission applications.Previous territory management experience, experience in the greater DFW metro areaPrevious experience with early assurance programs.Excellent detail oriented individual.Excellent multitasking abilities.Excellent scheduling and event coordinating abilities.Excellent technology skills. Demonstrate Excellent working knowledge of MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
