Description
Under the supervision of the Pre-ETS Operations Manager, this position provides clerical support services to the Pre-ETS program and Pre-ETS Billing Team. This position will be primarily focused on the client referral process which include inputting in the EHR system referral information and maintaining closed paper files for persons supported. This position also includes communicating steps of referral process with outside agencies and partners. Responsibilities include contacting supervision and/or The Program Manager with any issues related to persons supported and to allow qualified personnel to address. This Referral Assistant is expected to understand and advance the mission of the agency, as well as ethical and confidentiality standards. This position must adhere to all agency and program standards, including those applicable through CARF, Vocational Rehabilitation, HIPAA, NC MH/DD/SAS, Division of Health Service Regulation, and Medicaid, as well as any other applicable funding or referral sources
Responsibilities
- Receives incoming referrals and processes all information on incoming referrals for Pre-ETS services, inputting Referral Document PDFs into the EHR systems.
- Communicates referrals with each county supported by Pre-ETS services through CWS.
- Follows a client through the entire referral process, and follows up on any missing documentation.
- Adds all new client information to the client tracking document.
- Supports the accountant with tasks needs for the organization of the Pre-ETS project
- Files notes, case information and other documents, as requested.
- Maintains permanent files on persons supported in a secure manner, purging such as appropriate.
- Performs all duties within the confidentiality policies of the agency.
- Completes additional assignments as needed to meet agency goals.
Required Education / Experience
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
Minimum Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of computers, Microsoft Word and Excel
- Attention to detail, excellent communication and ability to organize work
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift 10 - 25 lbs.
- Must be able to handle sitting for extended periods of time
Compensation
- $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
- 16 – 19 per week
