About the Job
The candidate's primary task will be to is to support the North American sales team with the delivery of customer application support, preparation and delivery of quotations based on customer needs.
The function involves the selection of customer equipment from customer specifications and requirements, selection of gas cooler and evaporators and associated components, energy and lifecycle calculations, dealing with engineering drawings and design concepts, handling tender documentation and delivering standardization across the business and driving customer satisfaction, whilst also at times joining calls virtually and occasionally in person to ensure early stage customer satisfaction.
As Refrigeration Sales Application Engineer, you will also be an integral player within the North American CO2 refrigeration sales team, and a can do attitude is required as we develop and drive growth within the North American market with leading CO2 technologies.
You will be encouraged to develop a collaborative working mentality and find solutions for our customers and clients.
Responsibilities:
- High levels of communication with colleagues across North America and Europe;
- Assist and support sales team and their customers with the selection of equipment for their projects;
- Creation and development of offers;
- Calculation of energy and lifecycle analysis to support sales and specification of Carrier solutions;
- Develop and follow a standardized process to bring efficiencies and consistencies, therefore increasing customer satisfaction;
- Be a point of contact for customers and the right hand to the external sales organization
- Proactive and positive approach to the finding solutions;
- Over time build, manage and train a team of Pre-Sales Technical and Quotation Engineers to support growth and entry into new markets.
Education:
The candidate will preferably have an education/degree within mechanical engineering or similar.
Practical experience:
The ideal candidate have a minimum of 5 years of experience from the refrigeration, HVAC or any related sectors, and knows what it takes to work with technical projects within a fast moving environment. It is a clear advantage if the candidate has experience with CO2 refrigerant cooling or that their experience has been gained in a company of similar size than CARRIER.
Required skills:
- Technical project design, project management;
- Extensive knowledge of the refrigeration industry;
- Has experiences of working with design and calculations tools;
- Knowledge of digital tools suitable for sales and technics such as LinkedIn, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, CAD;
- Language: English is a must;
- An open mind for dealing with challenging applications;
- Resilience and a can do attitude and a passion for winning.
