Job Summary
Coordinate activities related to the investigation of theft, vandalism, threats and related security matters in assigned region .Ensure that security measures and equipment are properly installed in all locations and that security practices are communicated to applicable employees, contractors and outside law enforcement officials .
Job Description
Essential Job Functions:
+ Recommend appropriate security personnel levels /equipment and that the appropriate security measures are in place in Company facilities.
+ Act as liaison with Federal, State and local law enforcement and investigation agencies in the assigned Region on vulnerability assessments, security needs, etc.
+ Develop and coordinate all facets of physical security including equipment, procedures and methods pertaining to the protection of personnel and facilities.
+ Direct and coordinate investigations with appropriate company personnel, contractors and local law enforcement officials as appropriate.
+ Develop and maintain a good working relationship with internal employees , contractors and local law enforcement agencies.
+ Coordinate and assist in the development, communication and training on security policies, methods and procedures as necessary.
+ Keep abreast of company, local and national security issues and apply any necessary changes associated with any changing conditions as appropriate.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree OR Associate's degree and three years experience OR High School and 10 years experience.
Experience: Minimum of three years experience in one of the following : Sworn Paid Law enforcement employee at the local, state or federal level; active duty military; corporate security or related field. (in addition to experience listed above ).
Other Requirements:
+ Working knowledge of investigative techniques and criminal procedure.
+ Working knowledge of risk assessments.
+ Guard force management experience.
+ Responsible for Physical Security of a large geographic area including urban and rural facilities.
+ Overnight travel up to 40% of the time may be required.
+ Experience in training delivery is preferred. The successful candidate will be required to deliver the training through a learning management system or through face-to-face instruction.
+ Former or Active Full time paid Sworn Law Enforcement employee at the local, state or federal level highly preferred.
+ Person must live in AEP’s service territory.
Preferred Requirements:
+ Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
+ Proficient in crafting clear, concise, and well structured official reports that meet organizational standards

$83,413.00-104,267.50 USD
